"I am simply thrilled to receive support from the Gardena Police! They know I am committed to ensuring they have the tools they need to keep our streets safe," says Gloria about the Gardena Police Officers Association who also endorsed Gloria's campaign for Assembly this week.
"Public Safety is a huge issue through out our communities with a run of break-ins in Westchester to Westmont having the highest murder rate in LA County. Ensuring our law enforcement has the tools and resources necessary along with support from the community will be a top priority," says Gray. "We will also host more hearings with public safety and residents to address key issues and pinpoint the policy necessary to strengthen community relationships and protect our entire communty. I look forward to working closely with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's, Los Angeles/LAX, Inglewood, Hawthorne, Lawndale, El Segundo and Gardena Police Departments to support their efforts to keeping our schools and neighborhoods safe."
Gloria, who almost lost a daughter to gun violence and knows all to well to importance of rapid emergency response. Her goal will be to advocate for more funding to open more emergency care facilities and additional programs to engage and mentor youth at risk of becoming involved with gangs into educated and contributing members of society.
