"If women in our district have access to quality and affordable education, healthcare, living wage jobs, equal access and fair consideration for contracts we would be supporting 85% of our families in need," says Gloria Gray who has been a longtime fighter and advocate for Women in every positive way. In March of 2013 Gray was inducted into the National Association of University Women’s Hall of Fame for Exceptional Leadership. The tireless community advocate, Gray will work to protect the reproductive rights of women and young girls, combat domestic violence by supporting teen domestic violence education and advocating for funding of key shelters and resource centers, and supporting greater access to cancer screenings and family planning. She also supports women candidates for office by hosting fundraisers and meet and greets and supporting organizations training women for public office. Gray received the “Outstanding Women of 2012” Award from the Gardena Valley Chamber of Commerce and a “Women in Action Award” from the Los Angeles African American Women’s Public Policy Institute as a role model for young women.
